At the Rocky Mountain District's FALL 2008 Contest, held in Colorado Springs, CO, on September 27th, amid some very strong competition, the Beehive Statesmen Chorus earned 6th place. We had been aiming for most improved chorus (3rd time), but alas, it was not to be this year. But our chorus is growing, we had 11 more men on Stage singing at the Contest this year than we had last year. So, we will fall back, and re-assess our goals for the September 2009 Contest, which will be held in Cheyenne, WY. Come, and help us in our quest to improve the quality of our singing, as we increase the quantity of our singers. We welcome all male singers, and we can teach you the joys of 4-part barbershop singing.

Every Wednesday Night, starting at 6:30 pm, in Room # 104 of
The Utah Cultural Celebration Center (UCCC)
1355 West 3100 South, West Valley City, Utah
(Note: You must go east from the light at Redwood Road and 3100 South)

We are members of the Salt Lake City Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (also known as S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A., Inc - or the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America.)
We have fun!
The Beehive Statesmen have been the Host Chapter when the SPEBSQSA International Convention has been held in Salt Lake City, Utah, ( five times, so far. ) In July of 2005, the Convention was held in the 22,000 seat LDS Conference Center.
Did we mention that we have a lot of fun?
